1521 Amelia St

ex-3 Amelia St 'til 1907

Built c.1891

Heritage-Registered

For: Samuel Styles

Builder: Samuel Thomas Styles

ARCHITECTURE:

This is one of the three brick Italianates on Amelia; the designer has effectively used parging to emphasize de-sign details on the two-storey angled bay. The brick chimney on the shallow hipped roof now lacks corbelling. The front porch and balcony are the same as 1519 Amelia St, but with flat pilasters. The panelled front door assembly appears to be original. The early brick kitchen extension in the rear has a rare ceramic Victorian chimney pot.
